Who are we?
Founded in 2022, Zafer UAV Team is a student-led group specializing in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies within the Turkish aviation and aerospace sectors. Supported by Yeditepe University, our mission is to design innovative UAV systems while fostering technical skills and collaboration among team members to compete with the top teams at Teknofest Fighting UAV Competition in Turkey.
Mechanical Team
Responsible for designing and manufacturing the physical components of the UAV, such as the body, propellers, landing gear, and motors. This unit optimizes the vehicle’s aerodynamics and durability.
Avionics Team
Responsible for including components like sensors, motor drivers, battery, GPS, and communication systems. It enables data collection, processing, and execution of commands during flight.
Software Team
Responsible for developing autonomous flight and mission management software for the UAV. This team also manages flight control algorithms, data communication and user interfaces.
Organisation Team
Responsible for representing our group and managing communications with corporate partners, while also overseeing our social media presence.
Mission
Our primary focus is to work in the field of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems, which is one of the significant technological advancements of the 21st century, with the support of Yeditepe University. During this time, we aim to develop competent individuals in the field of UAVs through our work within the university, and to enable these individuals to create original, technological, and innovative aerial systems.
